Michael Hobson Announces Campaign For Constable
Over the next several weeks, we will see more and more campaign announcements in Lubbock County and around the South Plains. Over the weekend, Michael Hobson announced his campaign for Lubbock County Constable for Precinct 4.
Currently, Tony Jackson is the Constable for Precinct 4 in Lubbock County.
According to a press release from Hobson, if elected he wants to bring back compassion and accountability to the office. Hobson has been a certified peace officer for 31 years.
Michael has been a certified peace officer with the State of Texas for the past 31 years. He was previously the Chief of Police with the City of New Deal for 14 yrs., before this he worked with the Terry County D.A. and Yoakum County D.A. offices as an investigator. He also spent 11 yrs. with the City of Dumas as a Patrol Officer and as a Patrol Sergeant.
Michael has a Master Peace Officer certification with the state and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University Global which he majored in Criminal Justice.
He is a Lieutenant and E.M.T. with the New Deal Volunteer Fire/EMS Department. Michael has been married to Regina for 12 yrs. and they have one son together.
If elected, Michael’s expectations are to bring back the compassion and accountability of the department and looks forward to working with the other Constables offices, the entire County Commissioners Court and especially the citizens of the precinct.
