Antonio Renteria To Announce Campaign For Lubbock Mayor

The race for Mayor of Lubbock is about to get even more crowded. Antonio Renteria is expected to officially announce his campaign for Mayor on Friday at an event in Lubbock.

According to a press announcement from his campaign, Renteria will announce at 3pm on Friday, February 9th that he is running for Mayor. The announcement will take place at Montelongo's Restaurant at 3021 Clovis Road.

Renteria is a businessman and conservative activist. He is the founder and CEO at LUCA, Latinos United for Conservative Action. His campaign invited members of the public to attend his campaign announcement on Friday.

He joins an already crowded race for Mayor with a little over a week to go before the filing deadline for local races. Election Day for local races is May 4th. Citizens in Lubbock will vote for Mayor and citizens in Districts 2,4,6, and 3 will elect a new council member.
