McKenzie Taylor In Austin - All Eyes On Elections Integrity

Thursday on the P.M edition of The Chad Hasty Show McKenzie Taylor, Senior Editor at The Texan, joined the broadcast to provide an update on the latest news from the 87th Texas Legislature.

Taylor shared details on the scheduling and debate on many different issues currently in front of lawmakers, and gave insight into the wrangling for priorities that is taking place in Austin, and the hectic calendar and pressure that legislators are working under with the end of the session drawing near.

Among the issues discussed were Constitutional Carry, legislation that would impose penalties for local governments that defund law enforcement agencies, and much more.

Taylor said of the current decisions likely to be made in the immediate days,

I think all eyes are on election integrity right now, and defunding the police...If Constitutional Carry wasn't spicy enough, we're still dealing with a lot of spice here in the Texas House today.
