On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, Mayor Tom Martin commented on Councilman Todd Klein’s proposal to schedule evening council meetings four times a year.

“I’m willing to look at it.  I’m not in favor of all the meetings being at night.”

The mayor was also defended his opposition to showing meetings of  LP&L’s Electric Utility Board on the city’s cable channel.

“The board voted not to adopt that idea. That was why I voted not to.  I  respect their wishes."
