Here are just a few things in Chad’s Pile that you will hear on Lubbock’s First News this morning. Give Chad your feedback on the steaming topics.

1. LFN Roadshow at Reese Golf

Come out and join LFN this morning at Reese Golf. Mayor Tom Martin Martin will appear on the show to discuss redistricting, bounce houses and more coming out of City Hall. We will also have a 3rd mic set up so you can come out and sound off on the issues. Of course we will also have a lot of fun out at Reese. Come on out and say hello and have some breakfast.

2. Health Care Rationing in the UK  (link)

Rationing has started in England for different services because, well... they just don't have the money to give out free health care. That's a shocker! According to the Telegraph:

* Hip and knee replacements only being allowed where patients are in severe pain. Overweight patients will be made to lose weight before being considered for an operation.

* Cataract operations being withheld from patients until their sight problems "substantially" affect their ability to work.

* Patients with varicose veins only being operated on if they are suffering "chronic continuous pain", ulceration or bleeding.

* Tonsillectomy (removing tonsils) only to be carried out in children if they have had seven bouts of tonsillitis in the previous year.

Well, I guess we won't have to worry about this in America. I mean, the UK is only doing it because of a lack of money. We should be... oh, wait.

3. America isn't happy (link)

It appears as though many feel like the country is heading in the wrong direction. According to Rasmussen:

Just 17% of Likely U.S. Voters now say the country is heading in the right direction, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey taken the week ending Sunday, July 24.  That finding is the lowest measured since January 11, 2009.

Maybe more people are waking up. That's not good news for Obama.
