Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to discuss the issue of two Texas electors who have now declared that they will not cast their votes for Donald Trump, as well as the topics of Trump's possible Secretary of State nominee, ongoing world crisis points, and hot issues on tap for the 85th Texas Legislature.

As far as the Texas electors' attitudes and reasoning in refusing to cast their votes for Trump, Mackowiak said,

I would support the legislature creating a faithless elector punishment in state law. At the end of the day, you have to understand what your role is. If you're not prepared to use your electoral vote to cast on behalf of the nominee, you should not run for elector from your state. It's not about your opinion, it's about what the voters did. And the voters of Texas clearly voted for Trump on November 08, whether you like it or not. And if you're an elector you need to carry out your electoral duties, that's my view.

Mackowiak and Hasty also discussed Trump's possible Secretary of State nominees including John Bolton, Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney. The pending 85th Texas Legislature also promises hard work on controversial subjects, including the state budget, education finance reform, school choice, Second Amendment issues and more.

"I'm expecting a wild and woolly session", Mackowiak said.
