Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to discuss the big election win by Donald Trump, how it happened, and what to expect in the near future.

Mackowiak talked about President Obama's influence in the election, and Hillary Clinton's under-performance in the race, as well as who Trump is selecting for some of his administration's top positions.

While talking about how it came to be that Trump defeated Clinton, Mackowiak said,

The Obama's did just about everything they could possibly do to elect Hillary, and disqualify Trump. And that didn't work. And that didn't work because Hillary Clinton won seven million fewer votes than Obama did four years ago.

During the discussion about Trump's appointment of Reince Priebus as chief of Staff, and how that will affect the first months of Trump's presidency, Mackowiak said,

I think the first 100 days can be very successful. There's a lot that can happen in the first hundred days if they really know what they're doing and they're strategic about it, and I think Priebus makes all that more likely.
