Tuesday on the P.M. edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Mark Lee Dickson, director of Right to Life East Texas and founder of the Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn initiative, joined the program to talk about Monday's lawsuit filed by Planned Parenthood against the City of Lubbock.

Planned Parenthood in their suit claims Lubbock's sanctuary city for the unborn ordinance, which will outlaw abortion in the city of Lubbock on June 1st, is unconstitutional.

"The lawsuit is based on a lie of course, and that lie is the lie that's been told for many years, and that's the lie that the right to abortion is in the Constitution," said Dickson. "For this case to be tried in Lubbock, this would be a great victory for us, and so we're looking forward to the outcome of this. I do think that the Lubbock ordinance is an extremely strong ordinance, and I believe we're going to see a victory."

Dickson and Hasty discussed many angles of the issue, including attorney Johnathan F. Mitchell's offer to represent the City of Lubbock for free.

"From my understanding, last time I talked to Mr. Mitchell, he had not been contacted by the city," said Dickson. "So obviously the city has retained different legal council at the expense of the taxpayers."
