Lubbock Man Tells Police He’ll ‘Go Right Back to Stalking’ His Ex-GF After He’s Released
Fifty-one-year-old Hector Lee Leon of Lubbock was arrested on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 after seemingly proud of the fact that he'd been arrested multiple times before.
KAMC News reports that Lubbock police officers responded to a business in the 8000 block of Slide Road. The responding officer noticed Leon in a pickup truck nearby watching a woman that they found out was his ex.
Leon originally refused to exit the vehicle or even roll his window down, but complied after the officer brought up the possibility of breaking the window.
It was then that Leon said it didn't matter if he was arrested, saying that once he was released, he'd go right back to stalking his ex. He had been arrested multiple times for stalking the exact same person, but "seemed emboldened," according to police, since he had yet to go to court.
Police determined that Leon's ex-girlfriend felt threatened by his presence alone, considering his past "violent behavior" and that he had damaged her property in the past.
The responding officer determined that Leon had violated Texas' harassment law on multiple occasions, and arrested him that night. As of Monday, December 13th, Leon remained in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
