How's this for a wake-up call? You decide to take a little nap, then you wake up surrounded by SWAT officers.

That's exactly what happened to a man from the Town of Tonawanda in New York. Police received reports (from the man's mother, of all people...) of an apparent hostage situation at the man's residence. When police could not contact the man, they sent the SWAT team to the man's house to handle the situation. But, as it turns out, there was no hostage situation. the man didn't respond to the police because he was taking a nap.

I would really like to hear the call this man's mother made to the police, because I don't see anything in this story that would constitute a "hostage situation." Either way, this gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "rude awakening."
