A man was apprehended by Lubbock Police after resisting arrest and acting aggressive with officers.

Officers were called for reports for a domestic disturbance just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9th, in the 1900 block of 42nd Street. Upon arrival, one of the officers recognized the suspect, identified as Christopher Gorostiza.

Gorostiza allegedly got into a verbal altercation with the officer and later attempted to charge him, but stopped. The officer noticed Gorostiza was holding a metal mask with sharp, pointed edges.

Gorostiza was instructed to drop the mask but he didn't. After several attempts at using a taser on Christopher, he was finally taken into custody and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.

During the arrest, officers found a stolen wallet on his person.

Gorostiza was charged with aggravated assault, possession of identifying information, resisting arrest, evading arrest/detention, theft, and public intoxication.
