Man Arrested After Threatening People With a Knife at a Wienerschnitzel
The identity of the man arrested overnight on Tuesday at a north Lubbock Wienerschnitzel has been released.
Fifty-nine-year-old Juan V. DeLeon, of Lubbock, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant and Failure to Identify. DeLeon is accused of making threats to kill people with a knife.
Once police arrived on the scene just after 1 a.m., a brief standoff ensued, with DeLeon against a group of Lubbock police officers. The officers took DeLeon down in a non-lethal fashion and immediately arrested him.
DeLeon remains in custody at the Lubbock County Jail. Bond has not been set as of the writing of this article.
