A man was arrested on Monday, October 4th, after allegedly threatening to shoot employees of a Lubbock bar.

The Lubbock Police Department were called to CC’s Bar & Grill, located at 1605 50th Street, just before 2 a.m. for a civil disturbance. Eyewitnesses told authorities that the suspect, Desmond Lamont Taylor, was at the bar and accused staff of stealing his wallet. He left and came back with a handgun.

Taylor threatened employees, knocking on the door saying that if he wasn't let it, that he would start shooting. At some point, Taylor fled the scene before officers arrived.

While police were on scene talking with witnesses and victims, Taylor arrived back at the bar with another person. Taylor was arrested and a search of the vehicle revealed a handgun that matched the description of what witnesses said he used to threaten people. Officers learned the handgun was also stolen.

Taylor was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, and theft of a firearm.
