Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, political analyst and Washington Times columnist Matt Mackowiak joined Chad to discuss current events in Washington as well as the state of Texas.

Mackowiak and Hasty talked about the 85th Texas Legislature which has roughly a week left in session and the possibility of a special session being called, the Trump administration and Robert Mueller's appointment as special counsel, as well as President Trump's trip overseas.

About the appointment of Robert Mueller, former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as special counsel, Mackowiak said,

I think that there's universal approval and respect for the choice of Bob Mueller, and it does take, kind of the politics out of this, and puts someone who both sides have tremendous respect for in charge.
