Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, Washington Times columnist and political analyst Matt Mackowiak joined Chad to discuss the latest in news and politics, including on both the national stage, as well as in Texas.

Mackowiak and Hasty talked about the ongoing battles in Washington over health care reform, and the anti-sanctuary cities legislation newly signed into law by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

While discussing Governor Abbott's stated priority items for the current legislative session in Austin, Mackowiak said,

For the big items, Abbott has to feel like he had a good [legislative] session, because ultimately he's getting what he said he wanted from his 'emergency items'.
