A Lubbock woman pleaded guilty on Tuesday, July 28th for tampering with evidence and was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.

30-year-old Geneva Monique Leal was originally one of multiple people charged for the murder of Gabriel Lee Salazar, who was found dead in January of 2017 behind the Carriage House Inn on Slaton Road.

KAMC News reports that it was Reynaldo Jacob Enriquez that pulled the trigger, but Salazar didn't immediately die. Enriquez allegedly wanted to finish killing Salazar but reports say Leal wanted him to suffer, and hit him with  abaseball bat.

The warrant says that Jake Austin Johnson and Dimitrise Lyghts took Salazar to the Carriage House and left him there.

Lyghts was sentenced later in an unrelated sex trafficking case, Johnson was sentenced to 10 years for tampering with evidence, and Enriquez was sentenced to 25 years for murder.
