Lubbock Woman Found With Butcher Knife Sticking Out of Stomach at Family Dollar
On Friday, October 8th, Lubbock police officers responded to the Family Dollar at 304 50th Street where they found a woman with a butcher knife sticking out of her stomach.
KAMC News reports that officers responded a little bit after 8 p.m.
On arrival, officers found the victim, who has yet to be identified, sitting on the grass between the sidewalk and the street. She was found with a butcher knife sticking out of the front of her stomach.
It's said the person who actually reported the stabbing was the victim's counselor, who said that the woman didn't tell her any information besides the fact that she was stabbed in the stomach. When asked about what actually happened, the woman only told officers that she didn't want to talk about it.
The woman was taken by EMS to Covenant Medical Center. Her current condition is unknown.
At Covenant Medical Center, the woman eventually told officers that she knew who it was that stabbed her, but she was taken into surgery before she was able to tell officers any additional details.
So far, no arrests have been made, and the case remains under investigation.
