A Lubbock woman died after her own car ran her over.

Officers with the Lubbock Police Department and Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to the United Supermarkets at 82nd Street and Frankford Ave. at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th.

Police say the woman was pulling into the United Express gas station and was having difficulties getting the car into park. When she got out of her car and walked around it, it rolled over her.

KAMC News reports that she was under the car for around 15 before she was removed.

The woman, who has yet to be identified, died from her injuries after being transported to University Medical Center.
