
Lubbock Teen Miguel Martinez Dies After Hide-and-Seek Accident at National Ranching Heritage Center
A teenager is dead after impaling himself on a statue at the Ranching Heritage Center.
Miguel Martinez was playing hide-and-seek with four other people at the Ranching Heritage Center in the 3100 block of 4th Street around 3 a.m. Saturday.
Others involved in the game say that the 14-year-old Martinez impaled himself on the horn of a steer statue near the entrance of the NRHC while running.
Martinez, who suffered a chest wound from the statue's horn, was pronounced dead at the scene.
