
“No Kings Day” Protest Planned for Lubbock on Saturday
Democrat organizations in Lubbock are planning to join in on the so called, "No Kings Day" protests that will be taking place across Texas and the nation on Saturday. According to a report from KAMC, several Democrat organizations in Lubbock are working together on Saturday's protest.
No Kings Day Protests, What Is It?
Democrat and leftist organizations are holding protests across the United States to protest the Trump administration and the recent immigration enforcement efforts happening across the nation. According to KAMC, the Lubbock groups organizing the protest locally say they will also focus on DOGE and "egregious conduct by the President".
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered the Texas National Guard to different Texas cities in advanced of the protests on Saturday due to the riots we have seen in Los Angeles.

What Lubbock Groups Are Participating?
According to KAMC, a few Democrat groups in Lubbock and Texas Tech are participating in Saturday's protest.
Organizations involved in organizing the event include the Lubbock County Democratic Party, ACT, Texas Democratic Women, Texas Coalition of Black Democrats and Democrats for Texas, the new student organization on TTU Campus.
The 2 hour protest is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 14th at the Tim Cole Memorial at 19th and University in Lubbock starting at Noon.
