Lubbock Police Searching for Suspects Involved in Bank Robbery

The Prosperity Bank at 114 University Avenue was robbed by gunpoint on Wednesday morning just after 9:30am.

Lubbock Police state three suspects, wearing black clothing, ski masks and armed with handguns entered the bank. They ordered the employees to give them as much money as possible from the registers.

The employees complied and the suspects fled the scene in a blue Volvo passenger car.

A short time after the robbery the suspects' vehicle was located abandoned in the 100 block of Akron Ave. No one was injured during the robbery.

Lubbock Police are asking for the public's help in determining who the suspects are, and if anyone recognizes the suspect vehicle. Tips can be called into Crime Line at 741-1000.
