Lubbock Police Searching for Suspect Who Led Officers on Chase

Lubbock Police are continuing to search for a suspect who crashed a stolen truck into a telephone pole on Tuesday.

An officer first attempted to pull the suspect over near 50^th Street and Avenue Q Tuesday at 8 p.m. after realizing that the white truck they were driving had been reported stolen on February 3^rd.

After a short chase, the suspect struck a telephone pole at 48^th Street and Avenue P, and then fled the scene on foot, leaving a passenger in the pickup.

The unnamed passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the suspect remains at large.
