At around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Lubbock Police received a report that a man had been shot in the 1300 block of 50th Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 41-year-old man with serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital by EMS.

Apparently, the victim was stopped at a red light at 50th Street and University Avenue when 2 armed men got into his pickup and forced him to drive to an ATM in the 1300 block of 50th Street.

The victim got out of the pickup and attempted to run, and that's when shots were fired at him.

The suspects, who have yet to be located, then fled in the victim's truck.
