Lubbock Police Release Footage of Tuesday Police Chase
Lubbock Police have released the video of a chase involving a stolen pickup truck.
Officers found a stolen Ford truck at 49th Street and Avenue U just after 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 15th.
The driver of the truck refused to stop and drove erratically as he attempted to evade police.
During the chase, the stolen truck struck the vehicle of a citizen. The citizen was taken to UMC for minor injuries.
An officer forcibly stopped the truck in the 6100 block of I-27, and the truck wound up on top of the police cruiser.
Twenty-three year-old Robert Andrew Ramirez was taken into police custody. He’s been charged with evading arrest in a vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving without a license, and resisting arrest.
Ramirez is being held in the Lubbock County Jail on more than $25,000 bond.
