Lubbock Police Officer Found Dead Tuesday

A Lubbock police officer is dead.

Officer Diane Daniel was found dead near 106^th Street and Quinton Avenue Tuesday. Police had received a call about a possible deceased person in the area, and the person turned out to be Officer Daniel.

An investigation is currently being conducted. A press release from the Lubbock Police Department says that no criminal charges are expected.

Daniel was a seven year veteran of Lubbock Police.
