Lubbock Police Investigating Death of Tree Trimmer

Lubbock Police and Lubbock firefighters were called out to a residence in central Lubbock on Tuesday afternoon just after 2pm. They were specifically called out to the 4900 block of 36th Street, which is 36th Street between Vicksburg and Wayne avenues. Two women talked with KAMC News and described the scene where they saw a body hanging from a tree and called 9-1-1.

Firefighters were the first to arrive at the scene and confirmed that the body was of a tree trimmer.

As of Tuesday evening at 5pm, the cause of death has not been determined and the identity of the deceased person has not been released.  Additional details, like if the tree trimmer was working by themselves, or with a crew, have not been released either.

Lubbock Police have launched an investigation into the death.
