Lubbock Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash on I-27
Lubbock Police Officers responded just before 8:30 p.m. Monday night (June 10th) to the 7000 block of the Interstate 27 access road where an accident had taken place.
According to Lubbock Police Department Public Information Officer Tiffany Taylor, the driver of the motorcycle, identified as 56-year-old Benjamin Perry, was driving northbound on the I-27 access road when he lost control and left the roadway.
Perry was thrown from the motorcycle and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are looking into speed as a possible factor in the crash.
