Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson is back in the hospital for more heart related issues.

Robertson reportedly had a stent put in Tuesday, only a short time after having a triple bypass in late January.

Sources close to Robertson say that he had around 80 percent blockage in an artery, causing the need for a stent.

Robertson is being treated at Covenant Medical Center, and is expected to be released Wednesday.

Robertson says that he hopes to attend Thursday’s Lubbock City Council meeting. If he is unable to attend, it will be likely be chaired by District 5 Councilwoman and Mayor Pro Tempore Karen Gibson.
