The Hodges Community Center, located at 4011 University Avenue in Lubbock will be hosting the annual Lubbock Master Gardener plant sale for this year from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in conjunction with Lubbock's Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and the Texas Master Gardener Association.

Many different plants will be sold, including assorted ornamentals and vegetables, as well as succulent plants. All profits from this sale will go to benefit the Lubbock Master Gardener Scholarship Program.

The Texas A&M  Master Gardener program is composed of people in the local community who take active interest in their own lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers and gardens, and have specialized training in horticulture. Those members that become Master Gardeners contribute time volunteering and working with their local Extension office to help provide and teach horticultural information and training to citizens in their local communities.

Face coverings will be required to be worn by all workers and attendees in the Hodges Community Center, in compliance with the City of Lubbock code requirements.

For more information contact Rita Wilson at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Lubbock County, located at 916 Main St, Suite 401, Lubbock, TX 79401, or you may call at 806-775-1740.

Also, the 2021 Texas Master Gardener State Conference will be held virtually this year on May 18th and 19th, 2021, and the leadership workshop will take place on May 17, 2021.
