Lubbock Man Receives 40 Years in Prison for Hitting 1-Year-Old Boy, Violently Squeezing His Testicles

A Lubbock man was sentenced on Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 to 40 years in federal prison for injury to a child with serious bodily injury.

Twenty-one-year-old Gary Lee Fox was arrested, along with 22-year-old Makayla Fricke in April 2019.

KAMC News reports that Fox admitted to police that he hit the 1-year-old boy multiple times, resulting to him being covered in bruises. He also admitted that he "violently squeezed" the boy's testicles during a diaper change when he wouldn't stop crying.

In a related case, 45-year-old Thomas Matthew Fricke was arrested around the same time as Fox and Makayla after he was accused of threatening to shoot all the nurses in a hospital after not receiving answers about the child Fox injured. He later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 186 days in jail.
