Lubbock Man Indicted For 2020 Crimes Has Been Sentenced
A Lubbock man who was indicted back in 2020 has been sentenced. 40-year-old Christopher Johnson was arrested back in October of 2020 after it was reported he sexually assaulted three different children. Those three children were interviewed by investigators with one child calling Johnson a pedophile after telling police he was sexually assaulted almost everyday.
KAMC news reported back in 2020 that one of the victims would tell Johnson no when he would make sexual advances and would get mad. In one instance Johnson is said to have punched one of the victims in the face after they attempted to run away.
Johnson did plead guilty on Tuesday, April 4, to several different charges involving different types of child sexual abuse. Some of those accusations included touching a boy's genitals, oral sex as a form of abuse, and aggravated sexual assault. KAMC news reports that due to the many different charges there were different sentencings for those charges but all charges were totaled together to equal 45 years. Johnson has been held in the Lubbock County Detention Center since his initial arrest in 2020 in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
