Lubbock Man Pleads Guilty to Distributing Fentanyl
A Lubbock man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute Fentanyl.
32 year-old Steven Lawrence Forcum was arrested last November after police discovered that he was getting Fentanyl shipped to him from China. According to the plea agreement, between 2015 and October 2016, Forcum used email to contact international companies to purchase large quantities of fentanyl and other controlled substances.
Co-defendants, 31 year-old Krisandrea Monee Dobbs; 27 year-old Peyton Cleveland Wilson; and 23 year-old Ashlyn Paige Utley, previously pleaded guilty to their role in the conspiracy and are awaiting sentencing.
Forcum faces a statutory penalty of a maximum of 20 years in federal prison and a $1 million fine.
