Lubbock Man Pleads Guilty to Charges

26-year-old Coty Austin Acevedo of Lubbock pleaded guilty to attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor.

KAMC News reports that back in July of 2019, Acevedo began messaging an officer who he believed to be a 15-year-old girl.

Court records say that Acevedo sent the officer images where he was exposing himself.

Records also say that Acevedo asked to meet and have sex, even after being told multiple times the girl he thought he was talking to was 15-years-old.

Acevedo will be sentenced at a later date to no more than 10 years in federal prison if his plea deal is accepted.
