Lubbock Man Arrested for Kidnapping Woman at Gunpoint

A Lubbock man was arrested for kidnapping.

Sunday morning (August 5), Lubbock Police were called out to the 1800 block of East Brown Street for a domestic disturbance. Police say 42-year-old Donnie Ray Willard got into an altercation with a female victim, forced her into a vehicle at gunpoint and drove off.

Officers found Willard and the victim in the 300 block of East 42^nd Street. The victim was released after a medical evaluation, and Willard was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of marijuana.

He is currently being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling more than $100,000.
