Lubbock Man Arrested After Firing Gun at Local Home
Over the weekend, a man was arrested for stalking and firing a gun at a local residence.
Forty-one-year-old Eugene Rivas was arrested by Lubbock police Saturday night (October 19th, 2019).
KAMC News reports the man is accused of driving up to a home in the 4600 block of Avenue L and demanding to know if his ex was inside.
He fired three shots toward the house, and then fled the scene in the vehicle he arrived in. An officer who responded to the scene said Rivas sent text messages to his intended victim that said he hoped they died in the shooting.
Rivas was soon apprehended by police and is charged with stalking, speeding, not having a driver’s license, and discharging a firearm in city limits.
