Police Arrest Lubbock Man Who Chased People at Grocery Store With a Knife
Lubbock Police responded to 128th Street and Indiana Avenue Sunday evening after reports came in of a man walking the isles of a grocery store with a knife.
Twenty-four-year-old Alfonso Telles was arrested after he ran from the store and into a field.
Telles' sisters say that he asked them to give him a ride to the store, and when they arrived, he pulled the knife out of his pants and claimed "he wanted to kill somebody."
According to KAMC News, the sisters tried to run, but Telles chased them with the knife. At some point, he also put the knife to another unidentified person's neck.
Telles is currently in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $24,000.
