Lubbock ISD To Host Drive-Thru Registration Event
It's another sign that the school year is getting closer.
Lubbock ISD announced on Monday that they will be holding a Drive-Thru Registration Event for the fourth year. This event is for families getting ready for the upcoming school year that want to get registration done.
The fourth annual Drive-Thru Registration event will be Thursday, July 27 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Monterey High School located at 50th Street and Indiana. According to a press release, staff will be on hand to help families with registration for the upcoming school year.
District staff will be available to help families with the online registration process for new and existing families, required documentation, and answer questions about the upcoming school year. Interpretation services will be provided for Spanish-speaking and deaf or hard of hearing parents, guardians, and students.
Registering early makes the process faster for parents and the district and can help ensure that a child's schedule or classroom placement is ready for day one of school. Current students in LISD are encouraged to register early as well as it works as a RSVP for the new year.
Lubbock ISD will also be giving away a limited amount of back to school supplies during the event.
