A house fire in Lubbock has resulted in a dog dying and 4 people being displaced.

Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to the fire just before 3 a.m. the morning of Friday, November 11th. This happened in the 3200 block of Bates Street.

KAMC News reports that the 4 adults inside the residence were able to escape and were being assisted by Red Cross immediately after. However, a dog inside the residence was unable to escape.

LFR said that the fire was contained, but around 80% of the home was left damaged.

The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
