A Lubbock County Grand Jury on Tuesday indicted a father and son for murder.

KAMC News reports that 22-year-old Abel Rosales, Jr., and 44-year-old Abel Rosales, Sr. remain in the Lubbock County Detention Center, with a $500,000 bond set for each.

The pair were arrested two days after the shooting death of 36-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez on September 14th, 2018.

Police said officers were called to a home at the intersection of North Detroit Avenue and Baylor Street, where they found Rodriguez inside with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to University Medical Center and later died.

Police reports said Rosales, Jr. was also going to shoot Rodriguez brother, 34-year-old Elias Rodriguez, but the gun malfunctioned. Elias Rodriguez was instead hit over the head with a pipe. He recovered and was released from UMC.

The Rodriguez Family said an argument over a lawn mower led to the dispute.
