A Lubbock couple was arrested on Sunday, July 31st after they were caught with ten stolen debit and credit cards.

30-year-old Jayda Ham and 35-year-old Joe Aguilar Jr. were found asleep at a building that KAMC News says is common place for homeless people to sleep and loiter at. Officers with Lubbock Police woke the two up and asked them to identify themselves.

Officers searched the bags and containers the two had with them, and Aguilar told officers that everything inside belonged to Ham. However, he said that if any contraband was found, he would take responsibility for it.

Inside the bags were ten presumably stolen credit and debit cards. Eight of the owners were able to be identified later on.

Along with the cards, police also found drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and multiple rounds of ammunition. A firearm for the ammunition, however, was not located.

Both Ham and Aguilar were  charged with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, possession of drug paraphernalia and forgery. They remain in the Lubbock County Detention Center with bonds totaling over $20,000.
