On Friday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Lubbock County Republican Party Chairman Carl Tepper talked with Allen Corbin and Rex Andrew about the recent comments made by Judge Tom Head.

Tepper said that he has been very surprised at the level of attention Judge Head's comments concerning President Barack Obama's possible re-election and a possible U.N. invasion of Lubbock County have received. Tepper said that, regardless of whether he still stands by his comments or not, Head is fully entitled to his opinion.

"I'm still not sure if Judge Head [is] standing by what he said, or he might say 'You know, I had a bad day.' But either way, he's got a right to his opinion...it's been a strange story with strange legs to it, and it just won't seem to die."

Tepper said that now, Judge Head's political future rests in the hands of the voters.

Tepper also shared his own thoughts on President Obama, saying that he strongly disagrees with most of his policies. He said that the fight against Obama can only be won at ballot box in November.
