The Texas Farm Bureau's AGFUND political action committee has weighed in with an endorsement in the Republican runoff for Texas House District 84.

Tuesday, the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND announced their endorsement of Carl Tepper (pictured above) in the HD 84 Republican runoff.

"Carl is someone Lubbock County farmers can count on to ensure agriculture continues to thrive regionally and statewide," said Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND President Russell Boening. "He is someone who listens and understands that one size doesn’t always fit all. I know he will work with our members to ensure that the legislation next session is beneficial to the Texans who create the food, fiber, and fuel our nation needs."

"Farming is and will continue to be a major economic generator in Lubbock County and I relate very closely to the values of our farmers," said Tepper. "The Farm Bureau is essential to our future. Texas is the top state in the nation for agriculture, providing $115 billion dollars in annual economic impact and directly or indirectly employing one out of every seven Texans. Farming is and will continue to be a major economic generator in Lubbock County."

Tepper was one of five Republican candidates who ran in the 2022 Texas Republican Primary for HD 84. Tepper, along with David Glasheen, advanced to the Republican Primary Runoff election, which will be held on Tuesday, May 24th.

In 2016, the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND endorsed Jodey Arrington in his runoff election for Texas' 19th Congressional District.

In addition to the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND endorsement, Tepper's campaign has also been endorsed by: Project Destiny, 4WestTexas PAC, Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC, Lubbock Professional Police Association, Texas Municipal Police Association, Lubbock State Senator Charles Perry, Lubbock State Representative Dustin Burrows, former Supreme Court Justice Phil Johnson, former District 84 State Representative Carl Isett, and the Lubbock Association of REALTORS.
