Friday was the last day to vote early in the November 6th general election.

On the last day, 7,456 people turned out to vote early in Lubbock County, tying the number of last-day early voters in 2008.

Overall, 62,541 people voted early, of more than 150,000 registered voters in Lubbock County, according to Texas Secretary of State’s 2010 registration figures.

Early voting totals are down from 2008, when 69,608 people turned out to vote early, but are still up from 2004’s 55,356 early voters.
