West Texas Man Recording Children
35-year-old Dylan Wayne Boling received a total of 11 federal charges stemming from accusations that he had invasively recorded a minor in January of 2024.
Everything Lubbock included a photo of Boling following his arrest on Facebook:
The Hockley County Sheriff's Office received a complaint in 2024 of someone invasively recording a child on their smartphone. Further investigation led officers to collect digital evidence, including files found on a cell phone, that led to Boling's arrest.
Court documents later that year included 10 counts of Production and Attempted Production of Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography against Boling.
Boling was accused of using and/or enticing a child into creating sexual content to share online. Multiple files of child sexual abuse were discovered on his electronic devices.
A woman, who's relationship to Boling is unclear, filed a complaint against Boling to the Hockley County Sheriff's Office regarding sexually explicit videos of a 12-year-old found on his phone. Boling initially denied this claim, but later admitted he did indeed create them.
Levelland Man Pleads Guilty
Dylan Wayne Boling pleaded guilty to Production and Attempted Production of Child Pornography earlier this year.
Everything Lubbock included text messages between Boling and the woman after he admitted to creating the lewd videos of the child.
"I'm addicted to pornography," Boling said in a text, "that's the only reason I can think of... and I've been asking myself since it started."
Boling also admitted that he was aware the child was under the age of 18 before he attempted to entice them to engage in sexually explicit conduct on video.
On August 25, 2025, 35-year-old Dylan Boling finally received his sentence of 20 years in prison with mandatory supervision upon release.
