Kim Perez of the Floydada Chamber of Commerce, appeared on Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News on KFYO to talk about Saturday's Punkin Days Festival.

Perez said the festivities get underway with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Lions Club beginning at 7am.

The Punkin Days 5K and Fun Run will begin at 9am with registration beginning at 8am at Floydada High school.

Close to 100 food and craft vendors will be located on Courthouse Square at Main and Missouri Street.  They will open for business at 9am.

There are  many other activities slated throughout the day including games, cow patty bingo, chili cook-off and a pie eating contest.

There is also a classic car show sponsored by the Nifty Fifties Car Club culminating in  a car cruise down Main Street.
