Summer is flying by and that means that the 2021 Summer Showcase Series at the Buddy Holly Center is flying by as well. In fact, there are just a few more free concerts left for you to take advantage of.

It's good to get outside and it's always good to hear live music in Lubbock. This Thursday, August 5th Steve Garry & Friends will be performing at The Buddy Holly Center in Downtown Lubbock. The music begins at 5:30 and as always, you should get there early to get a good seat.

According to our friends at The Buddy Holly Center, Garry is a Texas-born singer and songwriter and calls Lubbock home.

Steve Garry is a Texas born singer songwriter who once again calls Lubbock, Texas home. Steve started playing guitar around the age of ten. Being predominately left handed and being given a right handed guitar, Steve was determined to learn to play, so the right handed guitar became his best companion for the next several years.

The 2021 Summer Showcase Series is held at The Buddy Holly Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and there is a cash bar available. During the concert, visitors will be able to view the galleries at the Buddy Holly Center as well. Those attending will not be able to bring outside food or beverages or chairs. We recommend that you get there early.

The Summer Showcase Series runs through August 19th at the Buddy Holly Center which is located at 1801 Crickets Avenue.

Get out this week and enjoy some free, live music from a local artist.
