Tuesday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, the Honorable Curtis Parrish, Lubbock County Judge, joined the program to share an update from the county on several issues.

The Lubbock County budget and property taxes, the county economy and housing boom, the county Medical Examiner office, and progress on the new Expo Center and Woodrow Road were topics of discussion, as well as the hot issue of mail-in balloting.

During the discussion about voting via mail, Parrish said,

We are seeing an increase in people who are requesting mail-in ballots, and we have our staff, Dorothy Kennedy and the staff over at the elections office, are prepared in every way to handle the additional mail-in ballots that we are expecting to come in.

Parrish also invited the public to the virtual public meeting on Woodrow Road, which will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2020. More information on attending the hearing is available at www.co.lubbock.tx.us
