Jason Corley Explains Reasons For Inquiry Into Medical Examiner’s Office [INTERVIEW]
On Friday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Lubbock County Commissioner Jason Corley joined Chad in the KFYO studio to discuss the hot topics in Lubbock County, including items on the agenda the upcoming Commissioner's Court meeting, the costs of elections, the brewing controversy over the Lubbock County Medical Examiner's Office, and more.
While answering Hasty's questions about recent complaints by Lubbock’s Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Sam Andrews accusing Corley of harassment and official oppression by inquiring into autopsy procedures, Corley said,
The County Commissioners Court does oversee this office. We do have oversight...We have a duty to the voter to do that...If there's allegations being made about one of our departments, we need to go look into that.
