Dr. Charles Addington was named interim mayor of the City of Wolfforth earlier this week. He was named Lubbock County Medical Examiner in July 2020.

NAAG Pathology Labs, the company that used to administer the office of the Lubbock County Medical Examiner, has made an agreement with Lubbock County on finishing 172 open death cases.

NAAG Pathology labs has issued a public statement concerning the withdrawal as the company overseeing the office of the Lubbock County Medical Examiner.

The Lubbock County Commissioners court is holding a special meeting on Monday, October 7th, and during that meeting, commissioners are scheduled to accept the resignation of Chief Medical Examiner of Lubbock County Dr. Sam Andrews.

The Attorney General’s office took the lead during the raid and helped seize multiple documents, computers and other materials from the office.

On Monday, a district judge dismissed the lawsuit filed by a former Lubbock County Medical Examiner's Office employee.

"He's very excited about it. We're happy for him. He will definitely be missed. He's a great representative, great ambassador for the city of Lubbock, great ambassador for the police department. He's done an excellent job," Chadis said.

NAAG Pathology Labs said in a letter sent to Lubbock County Judge Curtis Parrish on Tuesday that they will not renew their contract with Lubbock County.

NAAG Pathology Labs, the company hired to oversee the Lubbock County Medical Examiner's Office, responded to lawsuits against them.

A woman from Odessa has come forward, questioning the autopsy of her deceased 2-year-old son that was conducted in 2018 by Dr. Sam Andrews.
