Be a Hero: CASA Launches ‘Heroes for Hope’ for Local Foster Kids
Lubbock, we’ve always been a community that shows up when it counts—and right now, the children in our local foster care system need us more than ever.

Heroes for Hope
CASA of the South Plains just launched its new “Heroes for Hope” campaign, and they’re calling on 50 generous West Texans to become monthly donors in 2025. These aren’t just any donors—they’re everyday heroes committed to creating brighter futures for kids who need a champion in their corner!
If you’re not familiar, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) trains volunteers to stand up for children in foster care, making sure their needs—both physical and emotional—don’t fall through the cracks. But not everyone has the time to volunteer. That’s where Heroes for Hope come in.

Helping Kids Thrive
With as little as $10 a month, you can help CASA Advocates fight for everything from therapy and tutoring to warm clothes and safe homes. Your support means these kids don’t just survive—they heal, grow, and thrive.
CASA’s CEO Jaclyn Morris said via press release:
There are children in our community right now who need a dedicated Volunteer Advocate. But volunteering isn’t the only way to make a difference. Becoming a Hero for Hope ensures these kids are seen, supported, and reminded that their future still matters.
In 2024 alone, CASA of the South Plains served 375 children across six counties—including Lubbock, Hale, Terry, and more. With the help of 219 incredible volunteers donating over 7,200 hours, 89 foster kids found a permanent home. That’s the kind of impact your monthly gift can support!
